FIIs invested ₹195 Billion in India Equities in Oct'20.

Insight: After a month of profit booking in Indian equities in Sept'20 (- INR 77.8 Billion), FIIs continued to invest further in Indian Equities in October to the tune of INR 195 Billion. With April-October inflow at INR 959 Billion, the highest in more than 5 years, 42% of the flows have been towards the financial sector. As in October, FIIs bought INR 94 Billion worth financial equity shares while they sold equities of oil and gas and telecom sector. Among others, FIIs also bought INR 44 Billion worth Indian software company shares. With Nifty making new 52 week highs, continued FII inflow will be important to sustain the momentum.
